Llaniog Railway - 009 Layout Outdoor Test
Here's the 009 layout that I built over the course of several years on and off. I ordered the first loco and tipper cars back in 2015, before the ready-to-run HOn30/009 craze took off. For a while, it just ran on a spur track next to the standard gauge on the main layout.
Then I forgot about it for a while.
Then I went over to Wales to ride the real ones, bought a Glyn Valley tramcar and some PECO track (Not enough, though)
And then built part of a layout in my dorm at CCAD
Then I forgot about it for a while.
Then I carved out all the structure for this current iteration during the pandemic. But then I borrowed the track for another project and forgot about it again.
And now, after gathering some very small radius curved track and bodging it all together into a mostly functional layout, here we have it!
Not totally finished, I might replace some of the points, but I'm weirdly proud of how janky and, er, "narrow gauge" all of the track looks. The layout can run two trains and a spare engine, as well as a bit of standard gauge track in the form of a "fork" layout.

Switchman Stanley

Stanley takes over for another railroader, guiding trains around a switchyard. Doesn't go so great, but he's having fun. A very short animation test of a more efficient style of background for railroad scenes that should allow me to do more cartoon train stuff more quickly.
Inkblot Does Jury Duty

And he's got a little list A basic 2D rig test just to get a feel for the production aspect of it. I find that the time it took to produce this was about the same as an equivalent cel animated piece, though for longer dialogue type scenes, the tradeoff tends to favor the rig. Borrowing Eric Idle's voice for this one under fair use, in his 1980s performance of The Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan.

You seem to be pretty enthusiastic about steam tractors you happen to know a guy who owns an AD baker is a professional welder, has a boy with my first name, and brought his traction engine to the doughty Valley steam days the year before last im trying to track him down because I want to learn to weld boilers edit I believe the the tractor was Sam Hoffmans grandfather a advid steam tractors modeler who shows his work at the doey Valley steam days and I believe that the threshing machine that was with the tractor when Sam's grandfather owned it is in cattail foundry's collection now

I remembered cartoon 4-4-2 tootle golden book there isn't much base on the loco but the wheels does bring up some Atlantic 4-4-2 type
Tootle having piston valves kind of narrows him down to something built after 1910, unless he's a Vauclain compound. In any event, he was mischievous!

In my reading, it looks like a few Penn Line pieces got absorbed by Bowser, one that I definitely want is their 2-10-0

Many thanks! These vintage HO engines tend to make for fun projects - they leave a lot of detail to the modeler while being simple enough to work on.
